Euroadvocaten is an integrated network of leading firms, providing high quality legal advice across Europe. It is collaboration between 26 independent law firms across Europe and the network includes over 800 lawyers working out of 29 cities in 26 European countries. Established in 1990, the objective of Euroadvocaten is to help clients find the best & most cost-effective lawyers in Europe.

The Euroadvocaten group approached us to strengthen the profile and European links of each individual member firm and to generate a work referral network between members. Their secondary objective was to secure the attention and confidence of Heads of Legal/In-House Counsel of large corporates who may be looking to appoint a firm in a specific region with specific expertise, and who may approach a member firm directly.

The brief required Amix Media to redesign and build their current website so it became a future facing network appealing to large corporates as well as an extranet area where members can exchange referrals, upload publications, and communicate with each other using an internal messaging system. The content management system needed to be built bespoke so the group could easily manage the content in all areas of the website.

User Experience Journey

One of the most important requirements of the brief was to make significant improvements to the member extranet experience and front end user experience offered online.

Some members felt that the user interface of the previous extranet and website could be more intuitive and that certain limitations were affecting its usability.

Our creative and digital teams worked closely together in order to ensure that this criteria was met in the most efficient manner.

A Technical Approach

Building the extranet area was the most technical aspect of this project but we still wanted the member area to feel cohesive with the brand . Therefore, we opted to use the brand iconography to navigate the users around a clean and simple to use interface. The large number of referrals and the internal communications meant that a strong foundation was required for the framework and by developing a bespoke web application we have ensured the system is fast and dynamic, functioning more like an application than a website. Meanwhile, the addition of a personalised member dashboard makes it feel intuitive and intelligent through the inclusions of hand-picked data and a function that provides one-click access to referrals exchanged and notifications of any Group updates to all member.
